Hi, I am Stéphane.
I am a researcher examining burnout among neurodivergent adults in the workplace.
I operate at the intersections of knowledge, drawing on an interdisciplinary background in cognitive neuroscience, architecture and design, microphenomenology, and the study of psychedelics as cultural traditions and contemporary therapies.
My journey has been shaped by a lifelong fascination with exploring knowledge, combined with challenges related to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and hyperacusis, including severe workplace burnout in 2022. I write about these in my paper The Phoenix Fallacy and on my other blog: NeuroMinority Reports.
I aim to transform insights from science and lived experience into knowledge and practical solutions that will hopefully help others navigate and prevent burnout in the workplace and beyond.
I am also a passionate advocate for the meeting of art and science, using poetry and storytelling for creative and relational inquiry (CRI).
Before turning to research, I worked in several different professions, some of which allowed me to put my lifelong passions for the visual arts and music to good use. I play the piano, guitar, and drums, and still enjoy doing photography. I am also a LEGO enthusiast (#AFOL).
